SONG ABOUT MUSIC

Of all the songs about music that I know of, “Let the Music Heal Your Soul” is my most favorite. With its simple lines, the song is about the power of music in one’s life. The song was written to benefit The Nordoff/Robbins Music Therapy Foundation, a foundation which provides music therapy for persons with disabilities. Touché, The Boyz, The Moffatts, Scooter, Aaron Carter, the Backstreet Boys, Mr. President, 'N Sync, Sqeezer, Blümchen, R'N'G and Gil came together to form Bravo All Stars and to record the song which was released in May 1998.

Here is the video:

LET THE MUSIC HEAL YOUR SOUL
Singer: Bravo All Stars
Songwriter: Alex Christensen

Oh if someone writes a song with a simple rhyme
Just a song where is feeling show
And if someone feels the same about the simple song
Oh sometimes you can hear them sing

Music gives you happiness or sadness
But it also, it also heals your soul

Let the music heal your soul
Let the music take control
Let the music give you the power to move any mountain

Oh if someone plays piano with some simple chords
So melodic and endearing too
And oh if someone plays guitar with the old piano
And maybe you can hear them sing

Music gives you happiness or sadness
But it also, it also heals your soul

Let the music heal your soul
Let the music take control
Let the music give you the power to move any mountain

Oh yeah
Let the music heal you soul
Let the music take control
Let the music heal you soul
Oh, oh yes

Let the music heal your soul
Let the music take control (in your soul)
Let the music heal your soul (heal your soul)
Let the music take control (let the music take control)
Let the music heal your soul (yeah)
Let the music take control (oh yeah)
Let the music heal your soul (everybody sing yeah)
Let the music take control (let the music take control)
Let the music heal your soul (let it heal your soul)
Let the music take control (oh yeah)
Let the music heal your soul
Let the music take control

How about you? What is your most favorite song about music?
